Studio 3.11 Release Notes

3.11.0 (04.03.2025)​

With the 3.11 release of Studio we added many powerful new features and functionalities that improve the form building process and make it even easier and faster to use. Check out all the details below.

Studio​

New navigation​

The Studio now features an improved navigation system designed to enhance your experience and streamline your workflow. Your essential content and project switching are now more accessible than ever, all in a neatly organized layout at your fingertips.


Change members role in a project​

You can now change member roles in a project by simply opening a dropdown and selecting the desired role.


Enhanced security​

The Studio is now more secure than ever! We've implemented new security measures, ensuring enhanced protection for your sessions. Enjoy a safer and more seamless experience!

Resource server​

We've added a new dedicated option to link a resource server to the Studio, giving you more flexibility to manage and use content as needed!

Form Builder​

Duplicate generic elements​

Form building just got even easier! You can now quickly duplicate any generic field, making it faster and more efficient to reuse existing fields wherever needed.


Added aliases to all fields​

All fields now support aliases! This allows you to reference them in dependencies while keeping a clear, descriptive name—without changing the original field label.


Description field for variables​

You can now add short descriptions to your variables, making it easier for you and others to understand their purpose at a glance.


Copy binding name​

We've added a handy copy icon, making it effortless to copy bindings and use them wherever needed.


Searching for a field now works across all pages​

Finding a field is now easier than ever! We've improved functionality to make it work seamlessly across all form pages.


Added additional field property indicators​

When building forms, having key information at a glance is crucial. With the addition of new field property indicators, you can now easily access more details about each specific field.

EhrIds with names from the demography​

When selecting an ehrId from the dropdown in Preview or the Playground, you can now search using patient names in addition to the ehrId. Note that this feature is available only when using our demography server.


AQL Builder​

Update snippet​

You can now update snippets as well as views, to make it easier to reuse the same snippet even if you need to make changes to it


Marketplace​

Widget variants​

You can now upload multiple variants of the same widget, allowing for more project or form specific customization while still utilizing the same source.


A new "Copy link" button is added in the dropdown for content in the Marketplace, this way you can easily share the direct link to the specific content to others.

Bug Fixes​

Form Builder​

  • Fixed an issue where the codesystem dropdown did not work for coded text with terminology if terminologyUrl was used as the baseUrl
  • Fixed a bug where dragging a generic notification field inside a column list would default by converting the text to "{{datasource}}"
  • Fixed an issue where the unit for column list width was outside the input field if the panel was extended
  • Fixed a bug where you could still replace a button with a generic save button
  • Fixed a bug where the binding error message was cleared when switching fields
  • When removing all dependency cases now other and expression is also removed if empty
  • Allow for pasting text in ordinal label input that is not a list
  • Fixed a bug where booleans in API calls were recognized as numbers 1 and 0
  • Added a character limit when adding comment to a form
  • Fixed a bug where changing an API name did not update to the new name in the widget settings
  • When the condition to update a widget has an error it will now show as a form error
  • Added a character limit to tooltips on fields
  • Fixed a bug where the concurrent user working on form icon did not show if the users had the same first and last name
  • Fixed a bug where the sorting inputs in the property panel did not refresh when switching from one column list to another on the same form
  • Fixed an issue where you could not reorder fields inside a column list in some cases
  • An error will now show when opening a summary dependent on removed forms

Form Renderer​

  • Fixed an issue where PROPER function did not work if it was prefixed by a symbol
  • Fixed an issue where the tooltip on the field remained open when moving to another field using tab
  • Fixed a bug where a POST call with parameters was initially called with blank values
  • DV_COUNT fields will now allow for negative numbers
  • Quantity fields will now allow for negative numbers
  • Fixed a bug where CALC function did not correctly calculate negative numbers
  • Fixed currentDateTime variable which displayed date and time only with the accuracy of minutes now to the accuracy of seconds

AQL Builder​

  • Removed "Update View" button when the query is not a opened view

Studio​

  • Fixed an issue where user could see Marketplace when he only has platform READ permissions
  • Fixed a bug where clicking a direct link URL while not logged in would show a 404 error page after logging in, in some cases
  • Added spinner animation and toast message when adding and removing users
  • When an unsupported OpenAPI is imported it will now show an error message
  • Added appropriate suffix to filename of exported forms from the form select screen and form editor dropdown
  • Fixed an issue where importing a summary showed it as type "Form" in the import/copy-to modal

Marketplace​

  • Fixed issue where content window was too narrow if the content had a lot of keywords
  • Fixed a bug where searching for existent content while uploading new content did not always work as expected
  • Search and filter now remain after returning from an opened content back to the content select screen

  • Added hint text about the password policy to the password reset page
  • Added ability to change user on the project settings page for Oauth2 projects

  • Fixed an issue where loading animations were still present if they were not completed after navigating away
  • Fixed a bug where the collaboration icon could appear after exiting AQL builder and going back to the form

Form Builder​

  • Fixed a bug where setting up an image map presentation and going to preview said image is missing in some cases
  • Fixed a bug where you could not create an AQL variable due to modal window missing when moving back to Form Builder from the AQL Builder
  • Fixed a bug where changing the ehrId did not update values in preview
  • Fixed an issue where validating a form would close the tags dropdown
  • Fixed an issue where the save modal was missing the form name localization options
  • Fixed a bug where Alias name was always set as default name in dependencies

Form Renderer​

  • Fixed a bug where text fields with autosize on were not autosized if they were inside a hidden container

Marketplace​

  • Added an error message if fileset is not available to export with template
  • Added a search for the fileset in the Marketplace if the fileset is not available on the platform
