Who is Studio for?
This content is intended for all Studio users.
Better Studio is used by a wide range of people across healthcare organisations: from clinical informaticists and project managers to software developers and system administrators. This documentation is structured around three user journeys:
- Beginner user
You are new to Better Studio or to digital clinical form design. You want to understand how Studio works, build your first form, connect it to data, and get it running. You may have a clinical or healthcare background and are comfortable with software tools, but you are not necessarily a developer. The beginner journey covers core concepts, Form builder, and basic AQL builder and Form playground usage.
Start here for a step-by-step walkthrough of your first project.
- Intermediate user
You have gone through the main process and have some experience with Studio. You can comfortably work with basic forms, logic, queries, and Marketplace content, while experimenting with the more advanced aspects of Studio use.
You can explore most of the documentation freely, or follow the documentation from the Start here section onwards.
- Advanced user journey
You are already comfortable with Form builder and want to go further. You work with complex form logic, custom widgets, APIs, script integrations, Form renderer, and potentially on-premises Studio deployments.
